Doctors love computers. It gives them instant access to information. But a laptop gets in the way when talking to patients. That's why Mobile Doctor provides an all-in-one package including a small tablet computer.

Project description

When looking at the propositions available for general practitioners, we noticed that nothing was available for doctors who visit their patients at home. Since this is a large market in Belgian, we did set up focus groups to determine the needs. They wanted a lightweight portable solution, no keyboard but the ability to look up patient data and drug information. The device should also double as a Dictaphone and synchronize with their computer to update the patient records.
Partnerships where sought with a telecom operator, drug manufacturer and patient record software producer.

Project result

After the project was developed, it was taken to market by the medical division through their relationships with hospitals.
