Project description

It is only recently that radio controlled model airplanes are available to the masses. Once these planes were known for their smelly gasoline engines, quirky controls and pricey crashes. Modern electric engines and cheap radio technology now bring these planes within reach of every hobbyist. After scouting the market, we found the Taiwanese manufacturer GWS. Their products were best suited for the European market.
We did set up European import and distribution for this company and linked a webshop to the product catalog as a retail channel. The webshop was developed in house and provided a completely automated workflow from stock management over order management to financial transactions and bookkeeping.

Project result

Within its first year of operations the shop became market leader in it's segment. To make room for other opportunities, the business was successfully sold to be integrated in an existing retailer.
